Hours/Ours

Hours/Ours Only night Darkens the hours until morning Would it be uncivilized Should we see it any different In my life I am seduced by a power That has grown Ever darker in those hours Before light Dreams will ripple in our sleeping This will fade In the hours as we waken And I swear These are moments to be furnished Only fair We can choose the way we use it Hours Have become the measure Just To be ours, mine, theirs, yours Only night Makes this vessel for our dreaming Come daybreak we will realize Light is there to show the difference And I swear Hours now become the measure See us there Counting back ward from a million And I swear Hours now become the measure See us there Counting back ward from a million Only night
